Passion for the outdoors
Outside of my competitive ski jumping, I love adventuring in the outdoors. Balance is key for me, even during the training season. The best way for me to reset and focus is finding new experiences in the desert or mountains. Whether it is backpacking, canyoneering, running, skiing, or mountain biking, these experiences have become my ultimate escape and source of inspiration.

Canyoneering
My favorite person to explore canyons with is my dad. He was the one who first introduced me to canyons when I was younger, and now we love tackling new challenges together. We enjoy pushing our limits and working together to overcome harder and more technical canyons. We try to get some canyon trips in during the spring, and they are the best time!

Canyoneering holds a special place in my heart. It is often considered a niche sport consisting of climbing, repelling, and hiking(sometimes too much hiking). There are many canyons to explore and each one is different, with freezing running water canyons to hot and dry canyons. They all often require technical rope work and climbing skills. I have grown to have major respect and love for the sport.

Other Adventures
There is nothing quite like being in the mountains surrounded by true natural beauty. Solidarity is most often found by doing a hard and long adventure. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to
climb and summit peaks, as well as a major appreciation
for what our bodies are capable of. The post-max
effort feeling after a hard mountain bike ride,
run, or ski, is one of the greatest,
especially if it comes with
an incredible view.
